Hey Colonel, I cannot tell you which software is the best but I must let you know that DVD to PocketPC is one of the best out there. I have gotten 7 full length movies on a 1GB card (WMV format that is)with good quality and it made my trips on vacation a pleasure. You can set it and forget it for about 4-5 hours and it will place the finished video on you computer in wmv format for you. I think it is worth every penny and I am good to go with it.
