If you add birthday on ppc it will modify contact. Now sync with Outlook through ActiveSync. Outlook will create calendar item for added birthday. After that this item will be added to your PPC calendar through ActiveSync.
After that be careful. Because if for some reason ActiveSync will fail to match those items you will get duplicates
