I'm new to the site. Sorry if its been discussed before, but I couldnt find a topic in the search.
I have been looking into purchasing a TV video card for my PC. I saw on for really cheap on a site and thought I'd give it a try.
www.Softwareandstuff.com Has wintv2go for 20 dollars. Its a reputable card. Its OEM so it doesnt come with the box, manual, etc. At that price I think I'll give it a try.
My question is:
I have read the how-to on DVD-PPC. Seems easy enough. Has anyone had experience with converting the output of the tv cards to PPC? I "found" a copy of windvr just laying around on the internet. I've been told that in combo with a tv card, its like having a tivo on your pc. You can pick many types of output for the recording.
Would the encoding process be similar? Anyone tried it? Thought it would be nice to be able to watch my favorite tv shows during boring lectures on campus (dont tell Dad ).
Any comments would be appreciated.
