My ATI video card's software allows for selection of numerous capture formats.
The simplest is .wmv which results in the best resolution in the smallest size ... no conversion needed with pocket media player 9 in WM2003

Your TV card should come with capture software. Just capture to mpeg, then run it through VirtualDub and encode it to DIVX for your PPC.
