My X5 shipped with WM2002 and I upgraded it to WM2003.
Of the two I'd have to say that WM2002 was the most stable, and therefore the best. WM2003 introduced a number of bugs, some of them serious.
If your X5 shipped with WM2003 and you want to upgrade it to WM2002 then I believe you can download the image from Dells' website.
