Sharing across SubNetworks?
As far as I know, the default windows IP fileshare cannot span subnetworks. You need a protocol such as NetBUIE or IPX to do that. Neither of which I have found a driver for PPC.
I believe PPC just scans the Subnet it is attached to for the Windows share ports. If it gets a hit, then you can connect. In fact, this is interesting cause teqnically you can span workgroups on the same network.
But then i don't know alot.
I know it can suck, but how about editing your PPC's hosts file and adding explicit names/ip addresses.
