Registry cleaning question

I've been experimenting with MemMaid, SKtools and pocket mechanic, deciding which one(s) to buy. Like a lot of people have said, they all seem to be good and have their own strengths.

I've been trying to clean up the registry. I've removed lots of entries from programs that I've removed. I try lots of demos, so there was lots of junk in there. Those were the items that I felt safe removing.

Pocket Mechanic also wants to remove the registry entries entitled CmdFile and CabFile for most if not all of the software that I'm still running. My understanding for the CabFile entry is that the CAB file was deleted automatically after the program was installed so the entry is no longer relevant, meaning I can delete those safely. Am I right on that one?

For the CmdFile entries, Pocket Mechanic says that I'm missing an uninstall info file. That seems unlikely to be true on everything I've installed, especially since I've had no problems uninstalling programs that I got the same message on. So what about these CmdFile entries in the registry? Any thoughts on those?

Finally, Pocket Mechanic recommends that I delete 6 keys that look like:

HKEY-CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{long string of numbers and letters}

The messages for these say something like "invalid/missing InprocServer32 file ("stsmtp.dll") and suggests a key to delete.

That one I have no idea about. Does that mean anything to anyone out there?

Much obliged.
