Am I right on that one?
Those are very safe to remove, as long as they point to deleted cab&dat files.

That seems unlikely to be true on everything I've installed, especially since I've had no problems uninstalling programs that I got the same message on. So what about these CmdFile entries in the registry? Any thoughts on those?
Those entries are optional, and not all programs use it. so again it's safe to remove and this is not going to affect uninstalltion.

You need to be carefull about this.
We can't comment about PocketMechanic as we didn't test it ourselves.

Why don't you try MemMaid and see if it reports the same entries or not.
MemMaid has an advanced cleaner option where it shows the entries it want to delete.
In the main MemMaid screen, tap no the arrow beside the the "Quick Cleaner" title and select "Advanced Cleaner". Now select the items you want and tap scan. Now MemMaid will show you the list of files and registry entries it wants to delete.
Just Make sure you download the latest version (1.4.0.3) as we keep adding enhancments to the cleaner.
