Have you checked the settings of her calendar software? Even the one that comes with the Axim has a filter to screen out certain entries; commercial programs like Pocket Breeze and Pocket Informant have several ways to hide things from you. You should make sure the filters are set to All (ie., no filtering) to see if that clears it up.

It could also be a time-of-day thing; I know that PI can be set to not show you events from the same day, if the time for the event has already passed.
