I do not use outlook for e-mails... sorry for not making clear. I wanted to know about appointments for calendar. I do not keep outlook open, but when I do open outlook it sends a bunch of past appointments.

I just want to know if there is a "check mark" I can check to allow something to load on startup (not the full outlook package) in order to get alarms to go off.

right now if I set an alarm and close outlook, the alarm to go off.
