I dont think i would dog microsoft with this one. How would your computer know if there was an appointment in a program that isnt even open. You get reminders on your axim because outlook is always open. Even with the axim "off" it isnt really off so outlook is technically still running. The clostest you could get is whit outlook 2003 when you can minimize it to the system tray. That way it doesnt really look open but it is.
