I did try to adjust the settings some but will get more detailed using the settings that you mentioned Rob. I'd like to give NoteM a chance (Hey it's free!) :) But have been looking at Resco's recorder as well. (cool interface) It's only 13.97, until Dec. 31. (Some great deals going on over at their site).

My whole goal is to be able to used the PDA one handed (using buttons instead of stylus) so that I can make notes going down the road in my truck. I guess sound quality is not as much of an issue as the button issue.

According to NoteM's settings I'm supposed to be able to do that (button thing) but was wondering from your experience if it actually works. Do you use yours that way? Or do you use the stylus most of the time? No biggie. Thanks for your help. As I try this, I guess I'll become more of an authority on it.
