Basically, I want to install ActiveSync or a comparable program for Outlook 2003 sync over a USB IR device or integrated Bluetooth. Has anyone done this before? What are the options short of buying a replacement cradle?

well, it depends. if your axim has b/t and your pc has b/t, you can sync it. just turn on your b/t on both devices. click on your b/t icon on the bottom right hand of the axim, click on b/t manager, click new and you'll see activesync via b/t. just follow the directions.

you can use irda, but it's slower. oh, since you have a new pc, it probably doesn't have activesync, so you can dl it from ms's website.

i really don't care for it, but my wife uses it to sync her ipaq, so yes it works. but she has to turn it on, and blah blah...all i have to do is just side my axim into the cradle and it's done.
