I use WiFi for almost everything. I sync wirelessly. I swap files wirelessly. I stream media to my Axim wirelessly. You name it.
I use BT if I'm busy downloading a HUGE file or streaming something big. It's noticably slower. I do use BT if I'm at a Hotspot and trying to sync data or transfer sensitve files. I don't want my personal info going over an unencrypted public network.
As for an "Ad Hoc" connection: I'm still trying to figure that one out. (It's always the "little", easy things that stump me). I can't seem to set up my NIC to do Ad Hoc.
