This is how I made my own screen protector for my Dell PPC. First I made a template of my Dell PPC screen using normal printer paper and I cut the printer paper to fit my screen. Second I placed the template onto my screen and pushed the template to the left under side of my PPC by doing this I would get the measurement of the room that is under the left side of the Dell PPC screen frame. I would trace a small 1 inch pencil line on the template using the left edge of the frame as a guide,be care not to push down on the pencil so not to damage your PPC screen. Next I would slide the template to the right under side of the Dell PPC screen and push as far as it will go under the frame and also mark a 1 inch line using the right side frame as a guide. Next I would set the template to the normal screen size and push the template down so that it slides under the bottom part of the frame as far as it will go and also mark the template with a 1 inch line using the bottom frame as a guide. Now remove the template and the real work begins . You will need to get a clear view foil or Transparency paper making sure that the paper you use is free of scratches and now lay your template onto the transparency paper and you will cut your screen protector out. Make sure to add the total measurement of the left and right markings and bottom marking, not the 1 inch lines that you traced but the measurement between those lines and the edge of the template. Now cut the transparency out and don’t worry if your cut is not exact since the cut line will be under the frame, it’s better to under cut than over cut your transparency paper. After you have your view transparency cut make sure you have your PPC screen clean of dust and also the transparency should be clean of dust and now to install your protector you will need to grab the view foil by the left and right edge and squeeze the transparency so that it forms a slight U shape now put the transparency on your unit and work it into place by pushing down on the center of the hump and also slide the transparency under the bottom part of the frame. That is it folks and if you have problems where the transparency did not sit flush on the screen you might have to remove the transparency and trim of a little of one side either left side or right side. Do not try to pry the transparency out but use this simple trick. Get some masking tape or any tape and put a little tape on the transparency and leave enough tape as a pull handle and now lift out the screen protector. Hope this helps some one out there.
