Mobility Site - View Single Post - How much does a Hard Reset put back to normal?

Just so I know what I'm getting into before I really start playing around in the guts of my X50v, I'd like to know, if possible, how much a Hard Reset puts everything back to normal.

Is everything about the OS stored in ROM where it'll all get copied back to where it needs to go? Or are there some things that aren't in ROM and can potentially be *permanently* deleted by misguided tinkering?
