I actually got a call back from the Dell Axim support division. Im on hold with them now. It seems to be overseas support, but the fact that they are following up on this without me even asking for a follow up is very impressive.

As for the support, its more of the same. "It couldnt possibly be the axim". But i told them that a 3rd motherboard is arriving today so unless they get me a solution then i'll probably fry another usb controller and with these boards costing $193 a pop then its costing them alot of money and us alot of time.

Okay, well i got the rep back and he's sending me a new axim/cradle but NO BATTERY. He says its the first hes ever heard of this so he wants to follow up. Considering the amount of hassle im goign through then im starting to feel like i deserve to keep BOTH axims in the end... I probably will follow the rules and return it, but maybe if they could just send me a bluetooth adapter for the PC so i wont have to mess with cradle syncing.
