Both are good at what they do. Palm's are digital organizer's with little multimedia capablities (i.e. mp3, videos (which need to be converted to a proprietary format with built in or included software) Emulation is limited to NES and Gameboy, where both aren't very good and cost money. Organization is key with palm. Simplicity is a virtue in this case. PPC's are more multimedia oriented, IE mp3's, movies, complex games, emulation (you can even play your old ps1 games on your ppc!) Organization is still a factor, but it has a bit of a learning curve unless you are used to outlook. Synchronization is easy with both. In short, Palm is an organizer, PPC is a miniture computer.

P.S. I speak from experience. I own a Treo 90, Tungsten |E, and an X30 mid. I'm not just making stuff up! :)
