I have a Pentax WR43 digital camera and it too saves in .mov format.

Using BetaPlayer version 0.095, I'm able to play my .mov files on my X30!!

If you rather convert the .mov to something anyway, a couple of ways to do it:

1. Use Quicktime Pro.
When you open the .mov in QTPro you have the option to export the movie as another movie format (like avi or mpeg)

2. Use TMPGEnc, a freeware video encoder.
