This sounds like the screen issue seen widely. Does the "keyboard" appear at the bottom of the screen? Does squeezing the sides of the unit help or running a thin card around the edge of the screen? Did you get stuck in aloop during alignment?
If so this could be the problem. Dont panic there is a solution!
