Solution for ActiveSync problem

Hi,

I found a solution for my ActiveSync problem:

Problem description:
I can only sync one time (put the Dell in the Craddle, everything works fine, take it out and when I put it back in it won't connect anymore). ActiveSync on the Dell crashes and I can't use Icbar anymore (crashes too). The only way to get it working again is by killing ActiveSync on the Dell or doing a soft reset.

Solution:
Make a backup of all data stored in the Dell (I do it on my SD-card as it is much faster than via ActiveSync).
Take the Dell out of the Craddle and delete all Partnerships on the PC
Restart the PC
Do a hard reset on the Dell
Put the Dell in the Craddle, create a Partnership and let it sync
Take the Dell out of the Craddle, restore the Backup
Change the Syncname on the Dell to something different than Pocket_PC
Put the Dell in the Craddle, create a Partnership and let it sync

Then everything should work fine.

I had this problem now two times (the first time I reinstalled all programs again). If I don't delete the Partnerships on the PC and do a restart it won't work.

If someone knows an easier way to solve this problem, please let me know.

I hope this helps someone,

Magnus
