Mobility Site - View Single Post - will a hardreset restore factory settings ?

I may have deleted something which I didn't want to, but I cannot be sure. The thing is- I deleted some icons from the icons folder so that there are not so many displayed in the drop-dwon start menu. Now I don't find them in the programs folder either.
Can you delete something like an icon at all and if so will it be restored after a hard reset ?
