I had problems with VNC. But I have XP on my laptop so I use the terminal services client in WM2k3SE to connect to remote desktop. It smokes along in ozVGA. My desktop/notebook is very usable this way.

I have a link somewhere to a site w screenshots, i'll post it. He uses portrait mode though which is lame. If you use landscape with ozVGA and click 'fit to screen' in terminal services client it makes a decent remote XP desktop.
