Resco Keyboard Bug: Short Slides Do Nothing

I'm upset because I shelled out cash for Resco Keyboard, the Pocket PC Magazine winner in the Soft Keyboards category, and yet the thing fails to respond for an annoyingly significant number of taps (3%?) especially when I am trying to tap fast.

Specifically, Resco Keyboard will ignore you if you do a small slide across a key boundary i.e. if you do a slide shorter than the sensitivity setting and it crosses a key boundary. This can happen especially if you are tapping fast. Fitaly never ignores my taps. Heck, the default QWERTY keyboard never ignores my taps!

Question: Anyone else finding that Resco Keyboard fails to register taps here and there?

Below is an email exchange with Resco confirming the problem:

Juro - Thanks for your willingness to try out the fix. It's a serious
bug - there is effectively a "dead zone" along the grid, in which 2-3
mm slides produce no effect.
