After installing active sync, everything works fine...my pc sees the axim and vice versa. But after about 3 minutes, the connection dies and when I try to re-establish (via the PC), it claims the USB port is available, but nothing is connected. What is going on here?

Incidentally, even in that 3 minutes of connection, I can't seem to access any internet sites w/ the axim. My version of active sync doesn't have a "check box" for passthrough, it just has passthrough names ("The Internet" and "Work"). How do I set things up so that I can browse?
