you can use pocketdivx encoder to convert your movies to the avi format i believe. the file size for a normal movie at good quality for me is about 200mb. to play the file i recomend betaplay. you can find these programs by doing a simple google search.

I used PocketDivxEncoder for a long time. But, it requires a seperate program to rip the DVD. FairUse Wizard does all of it in one program.
