If you want to use your Axim on a projector, the 'presenatation card' that Dell offers for $199 is an option. It hooks to the Axim's CF card slot and outputs VGA, which you can plug into a projector.

Most front projectors include one or more serial inputs, so you can try hooking up the cradled Axim, via the serial connection, into a projector. In my home theater, I have no problem hooking up my PC to my Panasonic 75U front projector and running it as my display screen.

I think you've confused the VGA input plug with serial, they look quite a bit alike, but the VGA plug has alot more pins. A few projectors do have serial output, but that's to use the projector's remote as mouse on a PC.
