Most MP3 players I've heard have a better SNR (signal to noise ratio) than the PPCs I owned. I've yet to be impressed by the audio quality of any Dell PPC to date but I've yet to be disappointed by any iPAQ. With any product and with any ear, you will see some variation in quality but I'm least impressed by the audio on either the X50v or X30.
