The Axim has a CompactFlash Type II slot, which can accept either Type I or Type II CompactFlash cards. The only difference between a Type I and a Type II card is the size - a Type II card is slightly larger. Type I cards are typically memory (but not always), and Type II cards are typically peripherals, like modems, Wi-Fi cards, etc. (but not always).
The SimpleTech card should work fine in the Axim.
