what i use is fairuse wizard which rips it straight from dvd to divx or xvid which will make a 700 mb file then i use pocket divx to make it smaller worked perfect everytime i did it. i do it this way so i have to make one file and only code each once that way i have one for the desktop and one for ppc. now if you don't want small and large file fairuse wizard u can customize to make the file smaller to rip directly down to 200mb for example. only draw back to fairuse it take about to hours to rip then 2 hours to encode this is another reason i always just make one big file fist then use pocket divx encoder to make it smaller. just type in fairuse wizard.. the 2 programs are awesome when use together like described above

Why use PocketDivxEncoder if you are using Fairuse?
It can encode it to smaller file sizes and still keep the same screen size. Just tell it the max file size you want. I have been doing it with all the movies I encode.
