I just move my read items to the "deleted items" by holding down the stylus and clicking move, this is a way to save them on your PocketPC.

Also on Gmail there is an option that you can check to archive your emails in gmail once read via POP3. I think if you tell it not to archive them then that would leave all messages unread on the Pocket PC. Just a thought. Ill have to try it.

I also just recieve whole emails. Save attatchments to the trusty Lexar SD.
