What About PictPocketCinema? It trumps you both codec-wise. Plays .mov, .wmv and .mpg files but not a peep. So I repeat, Why single out BetaPlayer? No need to answer I'm j/k.

I've never heard any information that PictPocketCinema was optimized for the 2700G and could play VGA the x50v, and PictPocketCinema is not free for personal use. If that was the case, we would certainely compare it too.
