There are a couple of threads I need to post to to spread the word. I used tMPGENC with web content (not P2P) in my 320 X 240 days. It's good to know that a developer has tested it for newer devices. :approve:

Yes, it works the same as with 320x480, except that:
1) it is more important to have a very good de-interlaced, progressive source when you use higher resolution.
2) the bitrate must be approximatly 4-times more than with QVGA, because there are 4 times more pixels to encode on 640x480 compared to 320x240. With MPEG, I found that bitrates in the range 1.7 to 2 Mbit/sec give good results if the source is clean 24 fps progressive.
