I don't know if you can save applications to your SD card. I think it is highly unlikely. When I notice that my X5 starts to run slow it is b/c every program that you run in then stored in memory for fast access. The best thing to do when you notice that your X5 is running slow is to just to the the settings menu and then go to memory and tap the running programs button. Then stop the programs that you are not using. Things like Streets and Trips or Windows Media player etc... are memory hogs if you stop those thing you should see a huge performance boost in your x5
