Has anyone else experienced this?
I did a system restore (somewhat of a practice so I knew how it worked before a more critical problem occured) and was a little suprised by what eventually happened.
Using MS pocket money, I have been happy, but after the system restore I sync'd up the Dell to the desktop - no problem there. What was the problem was my MS money on the desktop.... all the transactions that were entered between the time I made my backup file and the restore were gone from the desktop version of the program. Now, I know they should have dissapeared on the Axim itself (obviously this is the point of a restore) but I assumed that once the two sync'd the desktop would recognize a system restore had occured and update the Axim to be current, looks to me like the the sync allowed the Axim to tell the desktop those transactions were deleted. As I said, all the transactions lost after the Axim restore were also lost from the desktop after the sync.
I know I can set up the sync to only make changes to the Axim, so I assume next time (hopefully a long time from now) I have to do a system restore, I should change the settings in active sync to only change the Axim?
This post is either a call to help troubleshoot what happened, or a warning to others to watch there data after a system restore. I am not sure which jsut yet.
Thanks to you all for a great resouce on this site.
