First, close down Activesync on the Axim, then check the Notifications Queue using Memmaid, Check Notifications or similar utility. Look for an entry for "repllog.exe" with an argument of "/remote /all /h /p:all" which will be timed within the next 10 minutes. Delete the entry and Activesync will not start again. This seems to be the result of a failed sync operation, which would occur if you run Activesync while the Axim is uncradled. Activesync posts the above entry on the Notification Queue wake itself up 10 minutes later and try again.

I would not do this. I allowed myself to be talked into it and now I have NO ACTIVESYNC. Everything is gone!

After a Hard reset and a complete reinstall of ActiveSync I can connect. Now to figure out where and what to reinstall.
