video for beta player... square pixels vs non square....

hope the topic aint tooo cryptic... but im just wandering if there an adv over one or the other...

see i have some vids which are true 16:9

That is the file size is DV 720x576 (4:3)- but because it is meant to be viewed witha 16:9 1.77 pixel ratio - when viewed as square pixels it is squished...so i was wandering do u guys just resize it so it is square pixels so u would get 640/1.77 = 361 -

or do u keep the same aspect ratio and just change the pixel ratio on the dell.....IE 480*1.25 = 600*480

my main reason for asking is cos i cant tell the dif - others might... (i have my show reel stored on my dell so need BEST QUAL even if i cant see the dif) and if there is no dif - i might just resize to square pixels so i dont have to keep changin the pixel ratio depending on what i am watching/showing
