Be careful with rubbing alcohol on plastic parts, I used it to clean some clear plastic once, and it made it all fuzzy, like frosted glass.

I used to clean my laptop screen with a damp cloth, and I mean barely any water at all, wet the cloth and wring it out over a sink till it stops dripping and your hards hurt! It should barely leave any water residue on the screen, then genty dry the screen with a lint free glasses cleaning cloth (try camera stores for these, and other optical cleaning supplies)
