from what i can find online, the factory jeep soundsystems do not have auxiliary input capabilities....

there are several ways to hook into your car stereo system...but the VERY easiest way is to use the auxiliary channel on your head unit. basically, if you have a decent newer model aftermarket headunit, you probably have an auxiliary input on it, which is just a way to input a signal (music) from an external device (i.e. a handheld mp3 player, discman, mini-disc, your axim, etc....) into your headunit so the signal can be played through your car speakers. the connection is made by a cable with 3.5mm (????) jacks on each end, the same as on your axim. you plug one end into your axim headphone jack (which is an output), and the other into the headunit's auxiliary jack (which is an input), and change to the auxiliary setting on your head unit. the signal can then be played through your head unit, and you can adjust the volume accordingly....

i've had many different aftermarket headunits, most have the auxiliary jack on the back of the unit (not very easily accessible) however i have had one with the jack on the front...

on a side note: i just realized how horrible i am at explaining things in writing
