I'd like to comment - as an veteran palm user who recently switched to PPC. The Axim overall can do much more, but in terms of battery life- Palm wins hands down. Also, I have soft reset my Axim over a dozen times thus far and in the 3 years I owned my Palm I did a soft reset once after installing some software. Last - the form factor between the 2 devices is different as well. You need to hold both devices to have an idea of which one fits your hand/shirt pocket/pocket book best. Overall, I'm happy with my switch from Palm OS to PPC - for me, I use alot of the new features the Axim affords me.

I think if you examine your needs, you'll find the machine that best suites you. If you will be using your device strictly for contacts and appointments, you may want to consider a palm OS based device. If you want to do ANYTHING else - PPC is your only other real choice besides a laptop.
