Somestimes I have seen this happen. A soft reset sometimes helps. Also, I have seen this if you are trying to copy files from within WinZip, the copy does not take place. I have to extract the files to a temp directory first.
I am using ActiveSync 3.6.
If a soft reset does not fix the problem, then try unistalling ActiveSync on the PC (Do not delete your {devicename}My Documents folder). I have had to do this somestimes to get things working again.
