Have the same problems. Even if I can install the drivers each time, it doesn't make much sense. Would you really like to install drivers on each computer you want to sync a document with? That is too much of a hassle.
One possible solution is to buy an Ethernet 10/100 Card and connect to the network where the target comp. lives, access Ax from that computer over the network and do all you need with the files. I don't know exactly, but it looks like in this case we won't need any additional drivers.
