Internet Pass through

I am struggling to connect to the internet. Everyone else seems to have so much fun out there and I'm stuck at home

I am now getting the message - '403 Forbidden - The ISA server denies the specified [URL] ... '

I asked the network guys and I got this techno repsonse:

I've looked into the problem with pocket IE, it appears to be a common issue and its caused by pocket IE not supporting integrated authentication - that is to say that it cannot make use of the credentials that you have already been assigned when you logged into the network.

The work-around (there currently is no solution) is to disable support for integrated authentication on ISA server and have it only support Basic Authentication. This means that internally username/password pairs are transmitted to ISA in clear text. A 2 minute download of a basic packet sniffer will reveal your password to anybody on your internal network.

Should I believe this?
