I haven't bothered with it yet. I did a back up just before upgrading the ROM on my X30, but as many may recall, restoring caused problems with Windows Media Player which required another hard reset to fix.

My feeling has been that restoring after a hard reset restores whatever problem caused you to have to reset in the first place. On the other hand, i had to hard reset a week ago and still haven't gotten my Ax back the way I like it, so I'm rethinking my philosophy.

You cannot, apparently, selectively restore--it's all or nothing.
While that sounds logical, in practice it hasn't held true. I have had problems that would stop happening just by doing a hard reset and restoring from a backup made just prior to the hard reset. Also if you keep a backup and have a problem from a bad installation of some software then it is soooo easy to go back to where you were before the install-gone-wrong. one of the best parts of Sprite is that it is so fast. only a couple of minutes to do the whole thing. definately worth the money.
