Interesting. I had my screen blow out recently on my work (Dell!) Laptop which required a new motherboard, and my laptop is currently being diagnosed over the USB ports not working properly. I can get power from them, just not get them to work with any device - mouse, cradle, external CD Rom etc. At least Dell have to repair the pc!
I use a cradle w/out power supply (just turn the PDA off to recharge it) as I haven't got a travel cable yet.
Maybe the cradle was the cause?
