What is it that Sprite would do differently(other than selecting what you want to restore) than the OS backup? From your post, would you not have the same problem with either program...that is if you had a bad program install? How would Sprite be different?

if you are really good about making backups before installing a new piece of software then Sprite is the best because it will literaly complete the whole backup in a couple of minutes and they you do the install and if it bombs out you can restore in just a few minutes and be back and running the way you were before. I haven't tried the backup program that comes with the x50 other than to create a backup, but not restore from it. When I did do a backup with the included one, it complained a lot and it doesn't let you put it on the pc either, only on the pda. Since I purchased Sprite I haven't felt the need to try anything else.
