If it will be in an environment where you feel it will get dusty a lot (this si really the main/only way to ge scratches, dust and so on getting on the stylus, and then making hairline scratches when sliding with this dust etc on there)
If you ge hte protectors,you will basically be spending extra money, and scratching those, followed by eventually, it it gets bad, replacing them altogether. You could howver just kee the screen and stylus clean, and you shuld be good for the most part, sa for me, I have one of the dell screen protectors, but I have gone both ways (I kind of like the texture of the scvreen protectors when it comes to writing etc.
But it isn't a necessity, it really is just your own preference, if oyu don't consider hairline fractures to be that big of a deal, then you don't need to bother with getting them oir using them on your Axim, it's as simple as that.
