Both the Axim and Ipaq have Microsoft Pocket Excel which is part of the OS. I use Pocket Excel to great advantage, but compared to the PC / Office product, a lot of features are missing. Graphics is the big one, but plently of other features are missing, including OLE links, filters, cell merge, advanced formatting ... I basically use it just for data/number viewing. Think of Visicalc or 123 in an Excel-compatible file format.

If you're using 1 MByte files, you might want to find somebody with a PPC and see what happens when you load one of those files on the PPC.

The same advice goes for the Palm.
