For those of you with the x50v, do you have any performance issues running movine in 640x480?

The reason I ask is I am starting to dabble at encoding some movies and, while I don't know all the tricks to make the movies look spectacular with a small file size, I can say that I have spent the last 18+ hours converting all of 2 movies. Since my desktop is only a 2Ghz with 768MB RAM, it takes a LONG time to encode and I don't want to waste anymore time reducing to 640x480 if there might be performance issues.
