I failed to mention this earlier but I came across a tool called YahooPops! early this morning. It allows you to download your Yahoo email into Outlook! Here's the url:

So far so good. I did notice that if I tried to use the option of leaving emails on the server for several days, it would create duplicate emails in Outlook the next time I checked emails so I've turned this off for now. I have an idea about a way around this but haven't tried it yet.
Not exactly about the original thread but it does provide another way to access your Yahoo Mail for those of us without wireless access of some sort.
